Circulation Policies

To replace a lost card:

ID is required and there is a $1.00 charge.

Acceptable ID:

Drivers License, utility bill, lease, mortgage papers, checkbook (with address on it), business mail (not a personal letter), or mail that has been forwarded by the Post Office with the P.O. yellow change of address sticker on it. Alternatively, self address a postcard obtained at the Circulation Desk which will be mailed to you. Return it when received at your address as proof of residency.

Reserve/Request Fees per item

The cost to reserve a book or to order a book from another library is 30 cents per item. Patrons are responsible for replacement costs if any items are lost or damaged.

Museum Pass Program For Arlington Residents

Museum Pass User Guidelines

Passes are for use by ARLINGTON RESIDENTS ONLY.

You may book only one date for each museum per month.

Some museums charge a small fee with the pass.

There is a $5.00 fine, if pass is not picked up.

Please call 781-316-3231 to cancel passes

Passes must be picked up at the library on the day of (or last open day before) use.

Passes for the Discovery Museum, Gardner Museum, State Parks, Harvard Art Museum, Griffin Museum of Photography and the Garden In The Woods must be returned in person to the library on the day of (or 1st open day after) use. All other passes will be collected at the museums.

There is a $10.00 charge for passes not returned on time.
