It Makes Cents: Sundays at Robbins

Join the Trustees and Friends of the Robbins in a fundraising
campaign to reopen the Library on Sunday afternoons!  Every
gift will be matched by an anonymous donor.

Because of reductions in municipal and state funding, the Robbins
Library was forced to cut back hours.  Sunday hours, especially from
October to May, are sorely missed.  Every $1,150.00 raised will pay
for the staff and utilities needed to open the Library on one Sunday.

To thank donors for their gift, the donor’s name will be included in a list
posted at the Circulation Desk on the particular Sunday they made possible.
The name of any donor who underwrites an entire Sunday will be displayed
in the entryway during the entire fiscal year.

Donations by check should be made payable to the Robbins library. To make a donation online by credit card, click here. If you would like additional information please contact the Office of the Director at
781-316-3201 or by e-mail.

While we do not anticipate exceeding the amount of money we need to open on
Sundays, if this does happen then the funds will be used to open the Library at
other times which have been cut back.

Moratorium on Book Donations

Fri, July 11, 2008 at 9:00 AM

Due to the generosity of our patrons and limited storage areas, the Robbins Library will not be able to accept donations until Tuesday, September
2nd. At that time, we will begin accepting donations of books, tapes, CDs and DVDs in unlimited amounts in preparation for the Friends of the Library book sale on September 20th in conjunction with Arlington Town Day. Please hold on to materials and bring them to the Robbins Library from September 2nd through Thursday, September 18th. A canvas bin will be located across from the circulation desk for convenient drop-offs. Thank you for your cooperation.
