The Friends of Robbins Library is a nonprofit citizen’s organization that supports the library with fundraising activities and programs.
To obtain a library card at the Robbins or Fox Libraries, please bring identification with your name and current address. If you use the online form below, you will just need to provide identification with your name and current address when you pick up your card at the main library located at 700 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA. Once you have a card, please remember to bring your library card with you when you visit. Library accounts are confidential. Thus we cannot discuss details of your account over the telephone or share that information with members of your family.
Minuteman Uniform Registration Application
Need an application in the following languages? Print and return to the library with identification that has your name and current address listed:
Current, valid Massachusetts Driver’s license or Massachusetts State Identification Card with current address.
OR…one document from Section 1 AND one document from Section 2 below:
1. Proof of identification –current or expired-- (must include name and photo) -Passport -Alien Resident Card -Government issued cards, such as Military ID -State issued photo ID including welfare, Medicaid or FID card -University or school ID
2. Proof of current local address* (must include applicant’s name) -Utility bill or tax bill (dated within the last 60 days) -Imprinted bank check or deposit slip -Official school schedule with applicant’s name and address typed on it -Official letter verifying residency and mailing address dated within last 30 days from a social service provider, temporary employer that provides housing, or a short-term residence -Postcard mailed to applicant from the library
If applicant is under 13 years old, parent or guardian must provide proof of identification and address. A child must be five years of age to get a card in Arlington.
If applicant is between the ages of 13 and 17 and cannot meet the ID and address requirements, parent or guardian must provide proof of identification and address.
PIN (Personal Identification Number)
A PIN allows you to access your account to determine what items are currently charged out, renew items, check for fines owed, and review your reserve list. Applying for a PIN is quick and easy and can be done in person at the Circulation Desk or through the Minuteman Library Network's - My Account login page. tip: The card number should be entered without spaces.
