Friends of Robbins Library present Henry David Thoreau: Seeing the Big in the Small

October 21, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

2017 marks the Celebration of Thoreau’s 200th Birthday. Join the Friends of Robbins Library for an afternoon celebrating this milestone. As part of the Thoreau Bicentennial Statewide Read, the Friends of the Robbins Library will host an interactive event, Henry David Thoreau: Seeing the Big in the Small, highlighting Thoreau’s ability to find the remarkable in the everyday, and to observe specific details in nature and then link them to larger concerns we all face. As Thoreau explored the woods of Massachusetts, we’ll consider the beauty of nature here in Arlington. Join us!

Arlington resident Jennifer Ingram from the Walden Pond State Reservation will lead the event.

This program is free and open to the public. Please meet at the back corner of the library in the Robbins Town Garden near the benches. Rain location will be inside Robbins Library.
