Friends of Robbins Library present Mohammad Kalifa Kamara for an evening of Traditional African Drumming and Dancing

February 22 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us as Mohammad Kalifa Kamara of West Africa, former Director of African Ballet of Gambia, performs traditional drumming, dancing, and songs of his native village in Guinea, West Africa. Mohammad is from a long line of African drummers and will play djimbe to accompany an African dancer for performance at the Robbins Library.   Mohammad also teaches his audiences African songs and dances- come sing African songs, share in the drumming and join as they twirl to the dances of their ancestors.

This event is free and open to the public

Refreshments will be served.
