Plug In to a Free Concert with Vance Gilbert

What do you get when you combine acoustic guitar, songs composed with a sense of poetry and infused with humor, plus a smooth tenor voice? Arlington resident Vance Gilbert, considered by many to be an integral part of the national folk scene. We are kicking off Plug In’s 11th season with Vance, whose approach to the acoustic singer songwriter idiom is significant. In Vance’s own words: “I’m Black, I sing, I play an acoustic guitar, and I don’t play the blues.” Join us for a free concert, open to all.  Plug In, a Robbins Library series, is supported by the Barry Fund.
