If you are in a conversation with someone who uses hateful language, what do you do? If you see someone being bullied, how can you help without the risk of making things worse? Trainer Rona Fischman will share techniques for setting respectful limits with someone you work with, someone in your family, or someone you see regularly in your neighborhood, as well as preparation for acting with strangers. We will learn the verbal techniques of active bystander intervention and practice using these techniques to disrupt hateful speech with people you know, as well as in the event of public hate incidents. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m.
