Plugged In to Transgender Health

March 7, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Have you wanted to ask questions about what it means to be transgender and either have been afraid to ask or had no one to ask? If you answered yes, then we invite you to Plug In To An Introduction to The Transgender Community on Tuesday, March 7 in the Robbins Library Community Room. As one of the events for Arlington Reads Together, Ruben Hopwood, MDiv, PhDand coordinator of the Trans Health Program for Fenway Health, will introduce us to transgender community, sensitivity, barriers, expressions, identity development and more. You will be able to ask questions, either directly or anonymously by writing them on cards to be given to the speaker. A Transgender 101 Resources and Terminology handout will also be available. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m.
