The Friends of the Robbins Library present: Hui Lehua o Kamawila–Hula Dance Group

Hui Lehua o Kamawila, a collaborative hula group dedicated to preserving and sharing Hawaiian dance traditions performs in Arlington! The group takes its name from the Lehua flower which blooms in adverse conditions. The ‘Ohi’a Lehua plant is often the first to recolonize the barren landscape of a freshly-cooled lava flow; it is found throughout the Hawaiian island chain and is especially associated with Hawai’i island. There will be an opportunity to learn and practice a few steps too! In the  case of inclement weather, this event will be  in the Robbins Library  Community Room.  Bring chairs and blankets!
