The new year brings an all-new redesigned library website to a browser near you. Robbinslibrary.org is the web home of Arlington’s libraries, the Robbins Library and the Fox Branch Library. Created in collaboration with Arlington-based design firm Bionic Squid, the user-focused design approach grew out of community feedback, surveys, and months of research and planning. New features include:
- Prominent library hours
- Events calendar color-coded for kids, teens, and adults
- An Accessibility Services page
- Front page links to popular services like printing, museum passes, and grab bags
- “Staff Picks” area featuring recommended reads
- Category filters for digital resources and databases
“Our new site reflects the vitality of Robbins and Fox, and also serves as a virtual branch, a portal to our rich array of resources,” says Andrea Nicolay, director of libraries. “The goal was to make it easy to navigate, helpful, and good-looking. We’re excited about it.”
Website visitors are encouraged to leave feedback on the redesigned site via the Feeback form available on the site.
